Since its opening, Marina Bay Sands has become a global icon of integrated resort design, redefining the Singapore skyline and setting a new benchmark for hospitality destinations worldwide.

Samantha Drummond collaborated closely with architect Moshe Safdie and the Las Vegas Sands CEO to deliver a state-of-the-art resort tailored to Singapore’s sophisticated market. Spanning 20 hectares, the development includes 2,561 hotel rooms, a 120,000 sqm convention and exhibition centre, 80,000 sqm of retail, a museum, two theatres, celebrity chef restaurants, external floating pavilions, and the world’s largest atrium casino.

Samantha led the design direction on behalf of Las Vegas Sands Asia, shaping the resort’s visual identity and overseeing every stage of the design process. She managed over 40 consultants alongside an in-house design management team and worked closely with renowned artists including Ned Kahn, Antony Gormley, Zheng Chongbin, and James Carpenter to integrate custom artworks into the built environment.

She also directed the interior design of celebrity restaurants by Guy Savoy, Mario Batali, Wolfgang Puck, Tetsuya Wakuda, and Daniel Boulud.
