Four Seasons Resort
China
Four Seasons Resort Macau is a five-star integrated resort that helped define luxury hospitality in one of Asia’s most dynamic destinations. With a hotel, convention facilities, branded residences, spa, casino, restaurants, and a landmark luxury retail mall, the project set a new standard for integrated resort design in the region.
Completion: 2008
Samantha Drummond led the interior design vision on behalf of Las Vegas Sands, working closely with the Four Seasons team to deliver a resort experience that combined global luxury standards with regional sensitivity. One of the project’s most significant achievements was the development of the first large-scale high-end retail mall in Macau — a 260,000 sq ft space with over 850 tenants, which remains one of the city’s most successful retail destinations.
Samantha managed over 30 consultants across interior design, retail, branded residences, and hotel operations, coordinating in-house teams and external partners across Las Vegas and Macau. She played a key role in aligning the design with the expectations of Four Seasons founder Isadore Sharp and Las Vegas Sands Chairman Sheldon Adelson.
As the first five-star luxury destination resort in Macau, Four Seasons Resort Macau paved the way for the success of the Cotai Strip and continues to serve as a benchmark for hospitality design in the region.
